Singapore College of Insurance Partnership for International Skills

Release: 29th July 2011

Esset Australia and the Singapore College of Insurance have launched a joint project offering international qualifications across Asia and Australia.

International employment opportunities are becoming more common with companies supporting global operations and personnel transferring across regions in greater numbers.

Transferable skills and qualifications are an ongoing challenge.

With this focus, Esset Australia is delighted to announce the signing of an agreement with the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) to provide recognition to the SCI Financial Services Wealth Management Program.

The project, implemented from June 2011 focuses on the linking of SCI course material to the Australian recognised Certificate IV in Banking qualification and the ongoing assessment of SCI participants in Singapore, where Esset Australia’s specialist consultants working with the very experienced Singapore College of Insurance team to meet Australian nationally recognised qualification requirements.

As part of this relationship Esset Australia is also welcoming the head of the SCI in Sydney in August where Esset Australia’s project work with major insurers in Australia will be toured.

This Esset Australia / SCI collaboration is a fantastic step in reducing barriers to the international market and provides all participants with unique skills and joint qualifications that are highly respected and sought after throughout the Asian and Australian region.

The collaboration is also testament to the Australia qualifications standards which are greatly respected internationally. Over the coming months this project is anticipated to be expanded out to cover more qualifications and role areas.
