TasSkills 2008 Initiatives Launched

Esset Australia has today launched a range of new skills development programs for Tasmanian businesses and individuals.
Esset Australia has been successful in securing eight programs in all as components of the Tasmanian State Government's 2008 TasSkills Investment Program.
Esset Australia is an education provider and consultancy in Launceston, but operates nationally, providing high quality and industry responsive training programs in a range of niche areas.
The successful programs, which will begin delivery from February 2008, include:
- Marketing skills for the Tasmanian Wine Industry;
- Case Management for community and employment services case workers;
- Business Services Initiative - enhancing the skills of small business managers in all industries;
- Governance skills for the community services sector;
- Governance skills for the not-for-profit sector;
- Frontline management skills for small business managers;
- Mental Health program for community mental health workers; and
- E-Business skills for business managers and operators.
Esset Australia Managing Director, Phill Bevan, outlined that "the continued success of these competitive tenders, and the high level of engagement in the initiatives by Tasmanian business, is due to the close partnerships that were developed with industry to ensure that the training programs are relevant and supportive of the current needs of both Tasmanian businesses and individuals."
