New Tasmanian Skills Programs Launched

Esset Australia has today launched a range of new skills development programs for businesses and individuals.

Esset Australia has been successful in securing 13 programs in all as components of the Tasmanian State Government's 2007 TasSkills Investment Program and Skills Equip Program.

Esset Australia is an education provider and consultancy in Launceston, but operates both statewide and interstate, providing high quality and industry responsive training programs in a range of niche areas.

The successful programs, which will begin delivery from February 2007, include:

  • Marketing skills for the Furniture Industry
  • Case Management for community and employment services case workers
  • Human Resources Online program for managers
  • Business Services program - enhancing the skills of small business managers in all industries
  • Governance skills for the community sector
  • Governance skills for the sport & recreation sector
  • Governance skills for the private sector
  • Frontline management skills for NW Coast small business managers
  • E-business skills for Tasmanian industries
  • Marketing skills for the Tourism & Hospitality industry
  • Events Management training for events committee members and volunteers

In addition to the industry and business programs above, Esset Australia will also provide a key skills program for women across Tasmania, aiming to improve workforce and study readiness, and a Certificate II in Hospitality program for jobseekers. Both initiatives are funded as a part of the Skills Equip program, targeting support for a wide range of equity groups in the Tasmanian community.
